Changes to Late Night Bus services from Newcastle CBDCommencing Friday 2 November, Newcastle Buses will be trialling extra late night services on weekends so that visitors to the CBD will have improved access to bus services to take them home in the early hours of the morning.
The extra late night services will be trialled for a six month period, and patronage will be monitored to determine the level of community support.

Route 444
A new Route 444 will operate as a loop service departing Newcastle from West Leagues Club and covering areas of Merewether, Adamstown, Kotara, New Lambton and Lambton before returning to West Leagues.
Additional trips are also scheduled on some of the existing routes with minor adjustments to some services.
Late Friday Night / Saturday morning changes
- Current Route 310 services at 12.32am and 2.32am will terminate at Charlestown
- New Route 444 loop to West Leagues at 3.10am
- Current route 363 at 3.22am will extend to Belmont Shops
- New Route 444 loop to West Leagues at 4.10am
- Additional Route 100 to Wallsend at 4.17am
- Additional Route 350 to Swansea Heads at 4.17am
Late Saturday night / Sunday morning changes
- Current Route 310 services at 12.32am and 2.32am will terminate at Charlestown
- New Route 444 loop to West Leagues at 3.10am
- Current route 363 at 3.22am will extend to Belmont
- New Route 444 loop to West Leagues at 4.10am
- Additional Route 230 to Wallsend at 4.12am
- Additional Route 101 to Glendale at 4.32am
- Additional Route 350 to Swansea Heads at 5.12am
Newcastle Buses is part of the Premiers Crime Prevention Partnership and has been working with other Government agencies in a cross-agency approach to reduce street crime and anti-social behaviour.
The extra bus services have been introduced to coincide with the introduction of a 3.00am restricted entry policy at all late trading licensed venues.
