New Fares for Newcastle Buses from 3 January 2006The Independant Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) of NSW have announced that some of the Sydney Metropolitan Bus Service fares will increase from Tuesday 3 January 2006. This includes Newcastle Buses tickets, as outlined below.
All Day Bus/Ferry Fares:
There will be no increase on the All Day Bus/Ferry ticket.
Time Based Fares:
- 1 Hour adult and concession fares will increase by 10 cents.
- 4 Hour adult fares will rise by 20 cents and concession by 10 cents.
- TimeTen x 1 Hour adult fares will rise by 80 cents and concession by 40 cents.
Weekly TravelPass:
- The Orange Bus/Ferry TravelPass will rise by $1 for adults and 50 cents for concession.
There will be no increase to the Bus/Train/Ferry TravelPass ticket or the Pensioner Excursion.
