Extension of the Pensioner Excursion TicketThe Deputy Premier and Minister for Transport John Watkins announced an extension of the Pensioner Excursion Ticket to bus services operating outside the Sydney metropolitan area.
Pensioners may, from 24 September 2005, use buses as far south as Kiama (including services throughout Wollongong), as far west as Lithgow (including Blue Mountains services) and to Port Stephens to the north (including services in the Central Coast, Wyong, and greater Newcastle, Maitland, Cessnock, Toronto and Morisset).
The current entitlements to CityRail and Sydney Ferries travel remains.
The price remains at $2.50 and to be eligible passengers must be the holder of:
- A Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card or
- A NSW Seniors Card or
- A NSW or Victoria War Widow/er Concession Card
